Sometimes the decision to make a pice of jewellery comes about for all the wrong reasons. From time to time, I am asked to make something because an original item was lost or stolen. This client had suffered a robbery that sadly deprived her of her treasured ‘go to’ pieces of jewellery. Her eternity ring, a pair of studs and a solitaire pendant.
The client was able to share some pictures of the pieces and some descriptions and we went to work, piece by piece.
We established the style of the mounts and the quality and size of the diamonds. We also clarified the finer points of the design, for example the client wanted the eternity ring to be set in a special way. We were able to discuss the different qualities of the stones and the merits of those stones. It was a real eye opener for the client.
Once we had approval from the client, we went to work piece by pice.
The results were great and the customer was very happy with the results.
We have also updated her valuations on some of her other pieces to make sure they are insured at the right price.
I was so delighted with the three pieces of jewellery that you made for me. The stones are beautiful and the pieces look even better than I hoped they would.
You made the whole process – from design to fit – very easy, especially given the challenges of the pandemic.
I also want to thank you for your guidance, which was valuable and really helped me make decisions, and let you know that you were just generally a pleasure to deal with!
I am am loving wearing the jewellery and I very much look forward to ordering something special from you again in the future!
